The Route
Day 1
Arrival at Porto and free time to settle down. Stay at Porto Bay Flores Hotel. End your day, looping across Porto and its tiled buildings, old churches and medieval walls. Enjoy an exquisite dinner at Café Guarany. An historical place, with elegance and old-world charm, reviving the period of the Discoveries, with Neo-Classical style.
Day 2
Douro Valley could as easily be called the enchanted valley, such is the beauty and magic that its landscapes offer. Remote and undiscovered, it offers the discerning traveler one of Europe’s most unforgettable vineyard experiences. Stay at The Vintage House, an idyllic and tranquil riverside location in the authentic heart of the Douro Valley.
Day 3
Riding to Serra da Estrela, an area of rare landscape beauty, with striking mountain drops, where you can have a deep experience of the silence of the heights. Observe it, discovering the diversity of plants and birds and the flocks of sheep herded by Estrela dogs from the breed named after the Mountain.
Day 4
At 1,993 metres at its highest point in Torre, Serra da Estrela is the perfect sportive challenge. Run the mountains, the plateaus, the valleys, sweep them with the view that extends through the jagged cuttings, unravel the myths of the emblematic places. A magical place with historic villages, mountain villages and herding villages.
Day 5
Time to go home and feel the exclusive Portuguese Word – Saudade. Check-out and transfer to Porto International Airport.
